Trip to Coast

We took Ella to see the Pacific Ocean for the first time!  Also, her first real road trip...and she was great!  We packed a picnic and took the scenic route through NAPA which took quite a bit longer and I'm pretty sure she would have slept the whole time but we stopped in Santa Rosa to feed her and then kept going.  Of course, it was 90 degrees in Vacaville that day but once we got to the coast it was 70-75 degrees and cloudy.  BUT...we knew that and were prepared.  It really wasn't as cold as it looks but we bundled her up just in case.

She also got to see her first surfers!  She was impressed.  :)

1 Month

Ella is ONE MONTH old!  I can't even believe it-I'm pretty sure that's what all moms say but seriously...I can't believe it!!!  :)  She has grown quite a bit...she's packing on the ounces for sure!  I may even see a little baby roll starting to form on her little thighs.  At her two week appointment she was 95th percentile in height at 22 inches and then 20th in weight at 7lb 7oz but I definitely think she's added a few ounces since then.

Like I did with my weekly posts while I was pregnant I am going to be taking monthly photos of Ella to show her growth month to month.  Here is her 1 month pic...she's starting to be a bit fussier so I wasn't able to get a great shot of her but it'll do!

39 Weeks

Alright everyone...I am finally getting around to getting this last "week" post up.  Unfortunately, I've had a few complications after labor (I'll explain later) which have made it difficult for me to sit down and work on my blog not to mention the newborn baby I am taking care of.  :)  Also, I had to take this picture a little after the 39 week mark but I wanted to make sure and take a 39 week picture.

Since none of the questions I answer every week really apply I will leave it as just the picture.  I will write up my whole birth story as I have time.  The last few weeks have been filled with every emotion possible, I think.  :)  Excited, Happy, Scared, Nervous, Anxious, etc., however, we feel like the luckiest parents in the world to have such a healthy and beautiful baby girl.
