37 Weeks

How far along?  37 weeks 

Total weight gain:  22 lbs

Maternity clothes? yep.  My favorite leggings are the gap maternity below the belly ones and the most comfortable thing to wear with them is one of Kyle's shirts.  They aren't tight on me and are just easy to wear at home.

Sleep:  sleeping okay...not great but ok.

Miss anything?  a good workout and bending over easily.  Also, I miss not feeling little limbs kicking and punching me all the time!  ;)

Movement:  see above.

Food Cravings:  still fruit and sweets...and cake.  Haven't had cake but I may have to make one.

Anything making you sick or queasy:  the dishwasher.

Gender:  Girl 

Labor signs:  BRAXTON HICKS....on Saturday I had them ALL DAY LONG.  Was pretty sure after reading up on them that they were just braxton hicks and not labor.  Weren't consistent enough and were strong but didn't become stronger.  Luckily, they subsided when I went to bed so I could sleep.  Thank goodness.  Me and Kyle were like...is this baby coming now?!?  

Symptoms: a big ol belly.

Ella:  Talked this weekend about how baby sister is going to come live at Ella's house in the room next to hers and she will share her cookies (from her play kitchen) and cupcakes.  She said she'll also giver her the paci in the car and when she cries.  I think it's clicking.

Mood: pretty good-still get a little grumpy at night and have noticed my patience with Ella is a little shorter than normal.  Luckily she's a good kid and the patience isn't needed that often.  I'm blessed.

Excitement this week:  Had my 37 week appointment today and we finally got to see her!  (well-I still assume it's a her....she didn't tell us again....and I was side tracked and sorta forgot to ask for reassurance....but baby looks great.  They say she is 7 lbs 8 oz already and I don't believe them but we will see.  She definitely has Ella's nose which is so cute and she has lots of hair!  I just can't wait to hold that little girl!  Ella thought baby sister was super cute and loved watching her on the screen.  I'm now officially a good 2 cm....so we are making progress!

Looking forward to:  getting the nursery done and actually being more ready for baby....I am slacking like crazy.  I think we are having a hard time believing it's so close.  Oh and holding and loving on this new sweet babe.

Total weight gain:  19 pounds--under 20 but not by much.  haha

Maternity clothes? oh yes but I also wear a few shirts that run big...like the one in this picture is not maternity but plenty big that it fits over my bump

Sleep:  not good....but if I stay up until 11 or 12 then I sleep descent....however then I feel like I HAVE to nap while Ella naps.  It's a vicious cycle. 

Miss anything?  a good run, holding Ella while we read books and not being uncomfortable.  I still rock her before nap and bedtime and we make it work pretty easily but there's obviously a bump in the way.  I also miss not running out of breath after picking up two toys...haha

Movement:  yep--this week she is hanging out on the right side.

Food Cravings:  ORANGES!  ugh-can't get enough.  and cake.

Anything making you sick or queasy:  still the dishwasher.

Gender:  Girl 

Labor signs:  nothing major

Symptoms: just a lot of tiredness...even just my body being tired after doing small chores.

Ella:  Is possibly getting more of an idea about this baby.  We started putting the nursery together a bit more--with help from my friend, Elizabeth--and so she is seeing baby's room and she seems to maybe be understanding more about the baby being in my tummy and coming soon.  But really...who knows! 

Mood: I get grumpy at night when I'm trying to get Ella to eat and Kyle's still not home but only a little grumpy.  :) 

Excitement this week:  I had my 36 week appointment today and it went well....my doc said the baby's head is really low and I'm 1 1/2 cm so nothing too thrilling but there's been progress.  So that's good.  Ella had to come with me today and she was WONDERFUL!  She sat like a big girl and was quiet like I had asked her.  She even showed off to the doctor a bit but telling her what things start with different letters.  Oh dear.  But she was really good.  I was very proud of her.

Looking forward to:  not being pregnant.

35 Weeks

How far along?  35 weeks 

Total weight gain:  16+ pounds...at my appointment last week I stepped on the scale and was a nervous as we are nearing the end and with ella I gained a lot each week towards the end...well luckily it was only 2 pounds more than the previous appointment.  phew!  Does not mean that number won't increase at my next appointment but I'm happy with that.  :)  NOT that I am a person super freaked out by weight but I just remember those last few weeks with Ella and couldn't believe the scale...haha!  

Maternity clothes? I'm so over them....also, running out of them!  It's getting harder everyday to get dressed.  I can't wait to go back to regular clothes...I say that now, and then nothing will fit right after she's born...ugh!  ;)

Sleep:  not good lately....waking up multiple times to go to the bathroom and then usually at least one of those times I end up awake forever!

Miss anything?  did I mention regular clothes?...

Movement:  absolutely.  At my appointment my doctor said she was hanging out on the left side and she felt her bum on the left side up by my ribs and I can feel her feet on my right ribs kicking a lot!

Food Cravings:  Fruit and cake

Labor signs:  a few braxton hicks but nothing major still.

Symptoms: nothing really besides a tiny bit of heartburn and tiredness.

Belly Button in or out?  in.  It doesn't hurt as much this past week...weird.

Wedding rings on or off?  on

Ella:  Is a pro in her bed!  She is such a blessing...I just love her so much.   Last night Kyle hurried me to follow him to her room.  She was so sweet and had put her heart pillow at the foot of the bed along with her baby and was fast asleep at the end of the bed, obviously opposite from where she normally sleeps.  Kyle picked her up and turned her around...just so she wouldn't fall out.  

Mood: pretty good except I get frustrated easy when I am trying to do lots of things and can't breath because of the baby growing inside of me.  :) 

Excitement this week:  I really, really, really have to work on this girls nursery.  Oh my goodness...I hate not having family around to help.  Luckily I do have some great friends here that I may be recruiting to help me finish up some projects.  A lot of what's left is unnecessary but things that I want done.  Kyle will be away for work so I may be able to finish some stuff this weekend.

Looking forward to:  finishing the nursery.  finding out what name we pick for this sweet girl (if she ever gets one).  holding her in my arms.  the last few weeks with only my sweet ella.  oh and not feeling like a bowling ball.

Total weight gain:  14+ pounds

Maternity clothes? ugh...I like wearing skirts and dresses during the summer months.  I also like being able to throw on a hoodie and totally veg out but I think I may like summer pregnancy better.  At least in California....here with the humidity may be a different story.  Either way...I'm over dressing the bump.

Sleep:  blah

Miss anything?  just normal activity.

Movement:  lots of it...she's going to be a dancer like her big sister, Ella

Food Cravings:  Oranges and blueberries...also made some smoothies this week that were really good.  My friend made a peanut butter cheeseball for our superbowl party and it was also amazing.

Anything making you sick or queasy:  not really 

Gender:  Girl - Still no name

Labor signs:  none

Symptoms: I was just thinking of some of the silly things that happened with Ella...I had those burn marks on my fingers for weeks and high blood pressure and a couple other random things...but this time I haven't had as many weird things.  I do have more broken blood vessels on my hands and then one on my chest since I've been pregnant but not really anything else weird that I can think of.

Belly Button in or out?  in...It's definitely in, but it's getting pushed and the parts that are normally not exposed are really sensitive lately.  If I brush up against something or if a little girl randomly puts her finger on mama's belly button--it HURTS!

Ella:  get ready!....is in a BIG GIRL BED!!!!!!  Pictures to come.  But she is the cutest thing.  When we switched her over Saturday night I HAD to call my mom so she could see how excited Ell was about it.  She was going nuts!  It was so adorable.  After rolling around for an hour and a half or so she went to sleep and slept all night long in her bed and waited for me to come get her in the morning.  The second night she had a late night because people were over for the Superbowl and she woke up once and was standing at the end of the bed crying...I don't think she fell out..but am not sure...so I held her for a few minutes and then she got back in bed until morning.  Her naps have been going just fine, too.  She is such a big girl!

Mood: good!  

Excitement this week:  My lovely friends will be hosting a shower for me this week!  Totally unexpected but am definitely excited to get together with the girls.

Looking forward to:  working out normally, a glass of red wine...and meeting BABY SISTER!

Also...don't mind my chalkboard...I was too lazy to wait until it dried to take pictures!  :)
