Baby Shower Pictures

Once again, Thank you to all my Air Force family and friends and my family and friends from back home for making the shower for little baby b unforgettable.  Thank you for all the absolutely AMAZING gifts.  Also, a special thanks to Brittany and Jill.  They did such an awesome job on the shower as you can see by the pics below.  Truly thee very best of friends a girl could ask for.

The welcome sign...so cute...it kinda matches the invites!

The favors we made for everyone.  We made homemade lotion out of coconut oil, baby lotion, and vitamin E cream.

the favors.

I made a few onesies as a little decoration.  The airplane was definitely a hit with all the Air Force wives! :)

onesies

We didn't have games so we had everyone make a headband for little baby b.

Some of the decorations we made for the table.

Your wishes for little baby b

The activity table

The food.

pink plates and silverware, of course.

pesto salad, edamame salad, fruit skewers with fruit dip, grape salad

spinach dip and bread

The baby letters we painted pink

The ultrasound picture frame on the dessert table.

Chocolate pretzels, the best sugar cookies, strawberry puffs, cream cheese mints

chocolate covered marshmallows, cake, cream cheese mints, and fruit tarts made by Jj

The full dessert table again.  We had a slight issue with the cake.  It was a custard filled white cake with whipped cream icing that was suppose to be very light pink....not so light pink...more like hot pink....oh well.

The adorable burlap 'little baby b' sign...don't you just love it!?!

White Sangria, Preggo Punch for the Preggy Peggies at the shower, pink and white & pink striped paper straws.

the cute little decoration balls we made.
Tropical tea, sparkletini's.

the centerpiece, gotta have the bling hanging off the sticks too!

This one had pink sand in the jar!

Jill threaded pink balloons for the pool fence...why not?!

32 Weeks

sorry I'm late on posting my weekly update again...with the shower this last weekend and getting Kyle ready to go to Texas, I was super busy.  Also, I had to remind my mom that I take the pic at the very end of the week so I'm actually a week further along in real time.  (if that makes sense)  ;)

How far along?  32 weeks
Total weight gain:  +19 lbs
Maternity clothes? Dresses, leggings, and maternity tops or any long tops that I can find in my closet to go over the bump!
Sleep:  same as last few weeks…not great
Stretch marks?  Still none…keeping those fingers crossed
Miss anything?  Sleeping through the night, not huffing and puffing every time I go up and down the stairs, bending over with ease, not running into things with my belly because I’m not used to it being there, etc.
Movement:  all the time…but I love it more than anything!
Food Cravings: fruit, sweets, veggie sandwiches, still haven’t got that hot fudge sundae…I need to go!
Anything making you sick or queasy:  not really, sometimes meat
Gender:  it’s a GIRL
Labor signs:  a few small, barely noticeable contractions
Symptoms: allergies are much better, a couple headaches, hands and feet starting to swell a bit when I’m on my feet all day
Belly Button in or out?  In-the Doc asked when my innie would turn into an outie…I said I was wondering the same thing…
Wedding rings on or off?  on
Mood: happy and stressed a little
Excitement this week: BABY SHOWER!!!!
Looking forward to:  My next few ultrasounds…I LOVE seeing that beauty growing in there!

Sneak Peek of Baby Shower

Here are a few pics of the shower until I get them all organized and create a better post!  Thanks to all my amazing family and friends(Air Force Family) for all the absolutely amazing and generous gifts....let's just say little baby b is set!  I can't even put into words how grateful we are for all of you...probably because of the hormones (I may be tearing up a bit while I'm writing this)   :)  We feel so blessed and are overwhelmed by the amount of love for our little one already.

Welcome to the Shower!

The Shabby Chic Dresser

Alright!  I'm finally finished with that dresser!  We even, finally, got it upstairs to the nursery!  Yay for progress!  :)

Ran into a few bumps along the way but I'm pretty happy with it.  Only spent a little extra money on it than planned and that was just because I wanted an extra coat of paint on it.  The little baskets I found at a discount store for about $5 and they seem to work.  Not perfect in my mind but I like them.  I couldn't decided if I should just paint the handles that came with the dresser--since they were pretty shabby chic looking--or find crystal knobs and fill in the extra handle holes (which I was very uneasy about how the filling in the holes would work--not great but 1-it's an old dresser and 2-you can't really tell).  I really wanted the second option (the crystal knobs) so I looked and looked for knobs.  Found the perfect ones at Hobby Lobby but they only had one, of course.  I also already had a set of 4 but that wasn't enough, obviously, and I couldn't find any that matched them.  So I have one perfect knob and 4 okay knobs.  Then, mom suggests just finding a bunch of random ones.  Good idea, however, I currently only have 2 styles so I go to Lowe's and find 2 crystal knobs and then remember I found some at HomeGoods that were okay but I wasn't sure so I go there and buy a set of 4.  Now I have 4 different styles.  And NOW I don't like the different styles.  I took the ones from Lowe's back and went back HomeGoods to get more of the okay knobs from there because they had grown on me once I had seen them in the drawer.  So after the handle debacle I went with the HomeGoods knobs for $8.  Genius.  I now think they're the cutest knobs ever!  haha!  Phew...ok so that's the story of the dresser.

I also put drawer organizers from IKEA in each of the drawers to help with organizing such little itty bitty baby things such as socks, bloomers, etc.

once again...the before

finished product!

more drawer organizers--on a side note you can see I needed to sand that ledge that the baskets sit on better because the paint didn't stick.  eh-oh well...maybe we'll fix it later
