5 Months

Happy baby-Ella seems to be a very happy baby. She smiles all the time...all you have to do is catch her eye and she smiles at you. I'm not saying she's always happy because the girl has some lungs on her and can cry bloody murder if she's upset. But, she is just a happy baby!
Belly Laugher-we've been able to get some really good belly laughs out of her more and more. It's the greatest thing in the world.
Sucks/Chews Her Fingers-her teeth must be moving around in there because she sure loves to chomp on those little fingies!
Quite the Talker-and she talks like crazy while she's chomping away.
Baby Blue Eyes-now they're not baby blue but baby, they're still blue!
Droole-she's starting to drool....not a ton but definitely drooling..probably from those darn teeth!
Loves Her Rattles-she has received a few rattles/teethers and she ABSOLUTELY loves chewing them...she gets to talking real loud in the back seat while we are driving..it's adorable!
Got Her Wings-Ella got her wings. After Kyle took us through security at Sacramento international airport we were getting tags for the stroller and cars seat that I'd check at the gate and the two ladies fell in love with Ella's adorable ness. They LOVED her so much. We went to sit down and wait and the one yells across the waiting area on her way over to us, "we have something for Ella!" They gave her wings and a certificate for her first ever flight!

5 Months

Ella is 5 months old!  She is growing so much and learning so many new things....daily!  It's so much fun!   Ella is 12 pounds and 24 inches long.  We've been documenting our trip to Nebraska so far and we have lots of pictures to share!  So I'll obviously be posting pics soon!  Until then....5 month pictures!

Shots

My little sweetheart had her 4 month check up! The doctor was happy with everything. She is only 19% for weight at 12 and a half pounds and 23% for height at 24 inches. And her head size is 16.5 inches and in 36th percentile. She's little! But very healthy!

On the flip side she had to get her shots and that went okay. She cried when they were going in but then was ok for the time being. She took a good nap in the afternoon but after she woke up she didn't feel good. Poor sweetie. Every time I moved her she cried. I think her legs hurt where the shots were injected. So I held her and she just sat there, needing her momma. She also went to bed at 6:45...she was so tired.

On a side note the doctor asked me if I do her eyelashes the way they are...I laughed because I thought he was kidding. Turns out he wasn't and I said, No that's just the way they are. I couldn't believe he thought I curled them or something....who does that to a baby?!?! He couldn't get over her eyes and said they look like the girl from National Geographic which I had no clue what that meant. He said it was a girl that when you look at her all you see is her eyes popping! Apparently it is a pretty famous phot. I googled it later and do remember seeing it before... He just kept saying how beautiful they were. Obviously, I was flattered by the nice things he was saying. I must be too used to her face....it's just my little Ella! ;) And my heart melts every time she looks at me with those big blue eyes!

Baby Chick Hair

As Ella's hair grows in, to me, it looks like baby chick hair!  Especially, after I giver her a bath.  It's fluffy cuteness.  Here are a few pictures I took of her on her tummy time mat which she is loving.

ugh....I know I say this all the time but...those eyes!

This is the usual expression that she has while on her tummy.  She is so busy focusing on holding herself up and her toys that this is sometimes all I can get!  :)

Wanted to try and show her hair is getting longer where it had been all broken off from her laying on it.

see...baby chick hair!  :)
