Baby Trip #5

Little baby b got to ride in a limo for the first time!!! Yep, took the baby in a party limo to Napa to go wine tasting! :) Obviously, I didn't do any tastings but went along because it was one of our friends birthdays. Actually, to be very honest, I quite enjoyed myself.  Plus it was a BEAUTIFUL day.  All four wineries we went to I had never been to before so it was fun seeing the different wineries.

We went to:
Folie à Deux-they make the Ménage à Trois that you see in most stores
Beringer-very beautiful grounds
Andretti-the famous racing family
Jessup Cellars-don't remember any fun facts about this one but apparently they had a red that was amazing

Besides enjoying the time with friends my favorite part was finding a whole in the wall deli in St. Helena. I had thee best veggie sandwich there ever! Kyle even said it was amazing...he also said it wouldn't have been as good if it had meat on it... Coming from him, how crazy is that?!? I will be going back there again, for sure!

Here are a few pics from little baby b's limo ride to napa!

Nursery Inspiration

I have been collecting all sorts of ideas for little baby b's nursery. I have mostly just done online looking at other people's nurseries, blogs, and at store websites. I've got it all in my head of how I want it but now I need to actually put those ideas into action. Part of the problem before was the major lack of energy on my part but now that I'm feeling much better...I AM READY!!!!!

When I used to think about a baby nursery I didn't want it to scream baby at all. For example, no super pastel baby colors all over. I also didn't want to have a weird theme like jungle animals or butterflies, etc. After finding out we were expecting and not knowing yet she is a girl I knew I wanted to do a very neutral color and then a pop of color depending on the sex. So...since little baby b is a girl I'm doing white, gray, and light pink. No theme, just shabby chic adorable-ness! I can't wait to get all my ideas into that little nursery.

Right now the room is painted green because the owners had a baby boy in the room and of course Kyle thinks there is nothing wrong with green for our little baby girl's room...what is wrong with him?!?! So getting it painted is the top priority now but who knows when it will actually get done. :)

Here are some inspiration pics!

So simple but so chic!  I am in love with this crib but in white...will probably be buying it in the next few weeks.  I love the long pink curtains, chandelier, pink oversized bows, white glider, etc.

I just like this for the colors...very fun also a cute idea for a daybed in a nursery, too.

I really like the softness of the light pink and gray and, of course, the canopy crib

I mostly just like this one for the canopy over the changing table.

Last but certainly not least...my favorite for what I really want to do in little baby b's nursery is this lovely girl nursery.  I am absolutely in love with the stripes...however, don't know if I'll go to the trouble of doing them in this house since we will most likely be moving within the year.  I am looking for fabric now to make a similar crib skirt and curtains.  Ahhh...I love it!  :)

17-18 Weeks!

I got a chance to fly back to Nebraska to visit my family these past two and a half weeks....it's been great!  Also, perfect timing because Kyle had to head out on a mission so we're both gone at the same time!  Now, unfortunately I couldn't carry along my chalkboard so I don't have any pictures but I'm still barely showing at all.  It's rather funny because we've been telling more people from home...and then they look at me...and then look at my belly...and then back up to my face and have this confused look on their face because they don't see a bump!  I then have to say...yes, I'm not really showing yet!

Besides the flight out to Nebraska, the day after the C-5 flight, I've been feeling pretty good.  I'm definitely eating more but still have ups and downs.  Have developed some awful indigestion which unfortunately is rather normal but like I said, feeling better!  I've had a bit more energy, too.  One of my mom and I's projects while I am home is to work on receiving blacks for little baby b.  This morning I managed to whip out 4 of them.  And I think I'm going to work on more after I get done here.  We hit up the $2.50 a yard sale at Joanns.  :)

Here is a pic of a few of the blankets we made!

added some ric-rac trim for fun

Love this one so much-we made 2
